  Stayed at waves motel in January 2018 was very disappointed in this motel. Grounds were over run with old leaves and parking area filled with tree debris.was obvious it hadn't been swept for a while. When checking in only one friendly receptionist was at desk and had to leave 2 people waiting while she took another couple up to motel room. We ended up waiting 15 minutes at counter . When entering our motel room the shampoo dispenser was hanging off the walk (which continued to drop off after showing motel owners) the fan was broken in toilet which is right next to kitchen (they said they fixed it but it still didn't work throughout our time there. The bed was covered in yellow stains and the towels came back one day covered. in pink stains ( clearly there were issues in the laundry ) there was no broom snd shovel to clean in unit and we had to try and turn bacon over with a fork as nothing else to use, to top it all off we went out in morning and came back after 1 pm and our room hadn't been serviced with all sheets and towels we had put out still laying on floor. While they were very apologetic about the issues this is not good enough for a motel with the rating it has and at $185 per night I would expect much better than this . I have never stayed in a motel with so many issues. I am not sure how they have the rating they do. Would definitely not recommend this motel the only positive is that it's 2 min walk to the beach.
